As Florenceville Baptist Church, we are a family-based group of imperfect people. Our aim is for all to begin a relationship with God through His son, Jesus Christ, and then continually grow in that relationship in an intentional and relevant way. We want to be a fellowship where people can make connections with others that will encourage them to seek the Lord in all aspects of their lives, regardless of age or circumstances. As part of our spiritual journeys, we experience times of celebration, frustration, discouragement, victory, questioning, assurance . . . God wants to help us through all the circumstances life brings our way.
Are you struggling with family relationships, financial pressures, situations you don't understand or hoped you wouldn't have to deal with? Then you'll fit right in at Florenceville Baptist. We believe that through God's Holy Bible as revealed through His Holy Spirit, He wants to teach us how to live -- including the struggles that come with our normal lives -- in a joyful, forgiven, relationship of peace with Him.
We love and welcome babies and young children! (Check out our Children's Ministries page.) On Sundays, our nursery volunteers minister to enable a pleasant experience for you and your children (age 0-2), both during Sunday School and the Worship Service. Similarly, we have Children's Church (age 3-8) during the latter half of the Worship Service. Of course, our Sunday School Family Ministries has classes for all ages.

| Brief notes from the Jan 27/10 Annual Meeting:
1) Motion carried for 2010 operational budget at $203,520. 3) Motion carried to break ground for the expansion this spring. 2) Motion carried to make application to the Baptist Foundation for a mortgage of $550,000 (maximum amount) for the expansion project, with an estimated cost of $750,000 4) Motion carried for Rev. Michael Palmer (current Pastor to Youth and Young Families) to become Senior Pastor on the retirement of Rev. Charles Thompson (anticipating Sep 2010). |
